This series of sculptures is inspired by the sacred spiral and repeated forms from nature. I recently moved from Bristol to Pembrokeshire, and the stunning landscape is a constant source of inspiration.

My work is exhibited at The Waterfront Gallery, Milford Haven, Pembrokeshire.

In my latest work, I create new fabrics by bonding layers of net and organza. The layers are cut into circles and embellished using free motion machine embroidery.

This technique is the closest I can get to sketching with a sewing machine.

It’s a mesmerising and meditative process, building up colours and textures. Each piece is hand-stitched and moulded. Then it’s worked until coral, jellyfish, deep sea creatures, and ancient woodland fungi spring up from the layers.
